Tropic QLD based songstress Tia Gostelow has a seriously impressive list of achievements to her name – Triple J Indigenous Initiative winner, Unearthed High Top 5, Queensland Music Award winner, BIGSOUND alumni, tours with Frightened Rabbit, Husky and Bernard Fanning, as well as her own label, Lovely Records, to boot. Not bad considering 2017 was her first year out of high school.
A talented songwriter, Tia wrote ‘State Of Art’ in 2015 at the age of 16, featuring heavenly vocals that soar over gorgeous electric hooks. In 2018, singles ‘Hunger’ and ‘Strangers’, featuring LANKS, shot into high rotation. She’s also gone and graced us with a dreamy Like A Version cover of Empire Of The Sun’s ‘We Are the People’. Yep, we’re pretty certain her soon to be released debut album, recorded with Konstantin Kersting (The Belligerents), will knock it out of the park.
Expect major sing-alongs at Tia’s Fairgrounds 2018 set (if you can keep up with her flawless vocal range that is).
