Whilst Fairgrounds strives to inflame the passion of music lovers, it also aspires to feed the fertile minds of our little rockers. Little Fairgrounds is a designated festival within a festival, just for kids.
Children can sing like the stars on our indie-kids karaoke stage, experience the fun and excitement of the vibrant circus area, challenge your friends in the paper plane flying competition, pick up a musical instrument and jam in a band. If you still have energy to burn then there’s still lots on offer at Little Fairgrounds. Be entertained in the Sparkle marquee with live music, performers, magic shows and book readings from our very special guests. Show your creative side with craft activities, get your festival face on with our team of face painters, dig in to the kid-friendly food at the tuck shop and, once the food has gone down, have a jump, jump, jump around on the big things to bounce on!
Little Fairgrounds also offers a parents room and child minding services to keep everyone happily entertained.
Welcome to Fairgrounds Child Minding, where our youngest festival goers can safely relax and have fun while parents and pals catch up on the best music, food and drink around. As a parent, you’ll enjoy peace of mind knowing that your nippers are being cared for by our experienced team in a lovely, safe environment.
Child Minding is located onsite in Little Fairground’s heritage hall, a two-minute walk from the main stage, bars and food vendors. We welcome young visitors aged from 1 to 6 years and we are open on Friday, 4:00pm – 8:00pm (per demand only) and Saturday, 11:00am – 8:00pm.
Bookings are for up to 90-minutes and space is limited. Please book, letting us know your preferred time of arrival and we will do our best to help you.
Also, if you would like to book child minding during Paperbark Camp Restaurant dining times, let us know. The dining times are: Saturday, 5:00pm – 6.30pm or 6.30pm – 8:00pm. Limited spaces apply.
GAMES ON THE GREEN
Saturday 9 December
Back by popular demand! Our field games area will come alive again, keeping spirits high and good times flowing.
Were you the parent who sprinted from right across one side of Fairgrounds to the other to join in the Tug of War? Did you muster a team to partake in the wheelbarrow and sack races? Possibly it was you who used two hands (by ahem…mistake) in the egg-and-spoon race? Tied yourself in knots during Lawn Twister?
Well, you’ll be pleased to hear that Fairgrounds Games on The Green invites you to join in the fun again!
Ready… steady… GO!!!!
Saturday 9 December: 12:00pm – 10:30pm
