More than just a music festival, Fairgrounds creates a weekend of new tastes and discoveries. Fairgrounds is an adventure for the senses. Artisan food, boutique beverages, markets and music converge in a melting pot of awe-inspiring activities, together in one of Australia’s most breathtaking regions. There’s something for everyone at Fairgrounds!

(When: Friday 2 December and Satuday 3rd December)

The Groundskeepers appreciate that we need a lot more food this year and have graciously helped secure a bountiful selection of tasty food and beverages for Fairgrounds, 2016.

The family-run business, Flour Water Salt, has been a staple of the South Coast diet for years, and they will be bringing their oven baked goods and fresh meals to the main food area, Garden Bar and kid’s area, including both meat and vegetarian options a-plenty.

The main food area will be your go to area for a grab and go bite to eat that will get your taste buds excited. Featuring will be the likes of Sydney pizza dons Pizza De Mario and colourful spice-merchants Cuban Cantina, the pop-up veggie patch Gourmet Goons, whose Vegetarian menu and friendly service are sure to make them a Fairgrounds favourite. Also on the table will be Shiso Fine, Newtown smoke house Bovine & Swine, Mama Linh’s, Crepe Co, Juice Farm and – of course – Maverick Coffee.

(When: Friday 2 December: 5.30pm and Satuday 3rd December: 5.00pm, 6.30pm, 8.00pm)

The award-winning Jervis Bay culinary institution Paper Bark Camp would be coming to Berry with an on-site pop-up restaurant. This gourmet, long-table dining experience is now open for bookings.

Set within view of the Berry sunset and in earshot of the rustic Newtown Social Club stage, Paper Bark Camp will stage multiple sittings across both Friday and Saturday evenings to ensure you won’t miss any of your favourite bands.

Boasting a mouth-watering menu including everything from kingfish and kohlrabi to flatbreads and roast potato skins, make sure to book in now to avoid disappointment.

(When: Saturday 3rd December: 12:00pm-8:00pm)

Whilst Fairgrounds strives to inflame the passion of music lovers, it also aspires to feed the fertile minds of our little rockers. Little Fairgrounds is a designated festival within a festival, just for kids.

Little Fairgrounds will feature children’s’ book readings from Triple J’s ZAN ROWE, JULIEN BAKER and Young Henry’s OSCAR MCMAHON.

Children can sing like the stars on our indie-kids karaoke stage, be entertained with magic shows, craft activities, performers and big things to bounce on!

To satiate appetites, legendary local bakery Flour Water Salt will be setting up THE MILK BAR: a festival friendly food stand with healthy ‘Happier Meals’ designed to keep the kids nourished and energised.

Little Fairgrounds also offers a parents room and babysitting service to keep everyone happily entertained.

(When: Friday 2 December: 5:00pm-7:30pm and Satuday 3rd December: 12:30pm-7:30pm)

FBi Radio presents Fairgrounds Record Club: a unique and exclusive opportunity for fans to get face-to-face with some of the great artists from the Fairgrounds lineup and chat about great music.

Across two small RSVP-only sessions, Fairgrounds ticket-holders will be invited backstage to join a group conversation about a particular record, hand-chosen by one of the festival acts. Attendance is free by invitation to anybody with a valid Fairgrounds ticket – but spots are strictly limited.

Session 1 will feature JAPANDROIDS sharing their love of The Constantines’ album, Shine A Light (2003). Session 2 will feature BIG SCARY’s Jo Syme talking about Sheryl Crow’s landmark debut, Tuesday Night Music Club (1993). Don’t miss the opportunity to join a conversation with Fairgrounds acts about the albums that amaze and inspire them.

(When: Satuday 3rd December, 12:00pm-10:30pm)

Back once again is the incredible Fairgrounds Record Fair. Boy did this one go crazy! This year we have expanded  the record fair and unearthed some purveyors of awesomely rare and groovy vinyl who are keen to make sure your fingers get dusty and your vinyl hunger is, at least temporarily, abated. We welcome our friends at Inertia who are keen to showcase their incredibly cool vinyl shop which, with its collection of vinyl from Soul Jazz Records to Radiohead, from Aphex Twin to Nick Cave, will surely have something to whet the most refined of musical appetites.

(When: Satuday 3rd December)

Ready Steady Go!

Back by popular demand after last year’s roaring success, the field games area will come alive again, keeping spirits high and good times flowing.

Were you the parent who sprinted from right across one side of Fairgrounds to the other to join in the tug-of-war? Did you muster a team to partake in the wheel-barrow and sack races? Possibly it was you who used two hands (by ahem  mistake) in the egg and spoon race? Maybe you fell over whilst tying yourself in knots during Lawn Twister.

Well you’ll be pleased to hear that Fairgrounds Games on The Green lets you join in the fun again!

(When: Satuday 3rd December, 12:00pm-10:30pm)

Amble around Fairgrounds market stalls where a selection of food vendors, fashion, artifacts, local produce and bric-a-brac is on offer. Hang out with a cool drink in our  shade covered Market area, positioned under a canopy of trees at Fairgrounds Market area and soak up the vibes with Fairgrounds DJs spinning relaxing tunes, whilst you grab a seat and relax a while.
